Flora & Fauna.

There are species characteristic of the lowlands and mountain greens, expanses of pine, both natural and repopulated, that alternate with chestnut trees, a species that is cultivated by the local dwellers.

The Santa Ursula Natural Park, Los Organos and the highlands of the Güímar Valley encloses the whole summit sector, that has a great wealth of ecology and landscape. There are copses of faya trees and heather, Canary Island pine, Spanish broom and codesos. There is a great number of endemic botanical species as well as interesting fauna.

Along the coastline there are also endemic botanical species and it is a refuge and nesting place for marine species such as the little shearwater.
